I'm just a guy making decisions — not a data company. Here's what I collect, why, and what I do with it. The short version: only what's needed to deliver your decision, nothing shady.
When you submit a decision request, I collect your name, email address, your question, and any context you provide. That's it. I need your name and email to deliver your decision, and I need your question because... that's the whole service.
When you pay, Stripe handles all payment processing. I don't see or store your credit card number, bank info, or any payment details beyond the fact that you paid.
Your information is used to deliver your decision by email, send you a payment confirmation, and contact you if there's an issue with your order. That's the full list.
I may use anonymized versions of questions and verdicts (with all identifying details removed) as sample content on the website or social media. I'll never publicly share your name, email, or anything that identifies you without asking first.
This site uses the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure ad performance and Google Analytics to understand how people use the site. These tools use cookies to track things like page visits and conversions. This data helps me figure out if my ads are working — it's not used to build a profile on you or sell your data to anyone.
If you want to opt out of this tracking, most browsers let you block third-party cookies in your settings, or you can use a browser extension like uBlock Origin.
I use a few services to run this site. Each has their own privacy policy:
Stripe — processes payments. Tally — hosts the submission form. Resend — sends emails. Vercel — hosts the website. Google Analytics — tracks site usage. Meta Pixel — measures ad performance.
I don't sell, rent, or trade your personal information to anyone.
Your submission data is stored in a secure database (Upstash Redis) connected through Vercel. Access is password-protected and limited to me — the person making your decision. I use reasonable security measures to protect your data, but no system is 100% bulletproof. I'm honest about that.
I keep your submission data for as long as needed to deliver and support the service. If you want your data deleted, email me and I'll take care of it.
This service is not intended for anyone under 13. I don't knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information, contact me and I'll delete it.
If I update this policy, the date at the top will change. I'm not going to send you a 47-page email about it. If something major changes, I'll make it obvious.
Questions about your privacy? Email me at decisions@decideformeplease.com. I'll respond — and I won't even charge you $10 for it.
